For the sessions held at IU 1, dinner will be served from 4:30 - 5:00 and the session will run from 5:00 - 7:00. IU 1 Staff Mentor/Inductee Session Technology Integration Off site Session InformationMentors who select the mentor/inductee off site option can meet at a school or alternate site and document their mentor/inductee sessions by posting their activities and resources at http://inducteesandmentors.iu1.wikispaces.net. The mentors/inductees should join the wiki and create their own pages. Each page should include the names of the mentor and inductee in the title at the top of the page. Information saved on each page must include the dates and activities for each session along with resources shared, developed, and or reviewed. Each mentor should create a separate page for each inductee. If a mentor has more than one inductee and meets with the inductees at the same time, they can copy the activities to a second page for the second inductee. Other wikispaces, websites, and printed materials can be shared during the session time, but they must be noted on the mentor/inductee's wikipage. Mentors and inductees will select New Page to create their pages.Instruction about using wikis is provided under Using This Wiki and a sample can be found by going to http://mentoring.iu1.wikispaces.net or http://creatingeportfolios.wikispaces.com. Mentors and inductees must sign up for the Mentor/Inductee sessions that are titled: IU 1 Staff Mentor/Inductee Session Technology Integration Off site Session at www.solutionwhere.com/iu1. Mentors and Inductees will select different sessions throughout the year by signing up for a different session date and number. The dates for these sessions will be the same as the dates for the sessions held at IU 1. Year 1 mentors and inductees may sign up for one off site session, Year 2 mentors and inductees may sign up for two off site sessions, and Year 3 mentors and inductees may sign up for one off site session. If mentors and inductees are attending two off site sessions, they must sign up for two separate sessions in solutionwhere so that both sessions can be marked attended and will show on transcripts. The actual dates of the off site sessions must be recorded on the mentor and inductee checklists beside the IU meeting dates.The sessions should last two hours. It is possible to split the two hour session into two one hour sessions.
